Family of Four

Fair warning: This post will consist of a ton of pictures.

On Friday, April 25 at 2:08 in the afternoon, Shelby Lee Underwood made her way into the world.
I delivered at St. Elizabeth's and it was wonderful.
(So THAT'S what it's like to deliver with a working epidural!)

The staff, nurses, doctors, and of course my midwife (Sylvia) were absolutely incredible.
I would go back there in a heartbeat.

After our little girl was born, we had a little bonding time, nursed a bit, and then the paparazzi family got to come in and watch her get all cleaned up.

Of course, then it was time to inspect her :)

And introduce her to her big brother!

I love those long, little pigs!

Frog legs

A very special shout out to my parents and bro/sis-in-law for keeping my room smelling like heavenly chicken sandwiches during our stay!

Shelby in her going home outfit.

Whoa.
I have two kids now.

We got home Saturday evening, introduced Miss Shelby to some family and were SO excited to get into our OWN BED :) :) :)

Sunday morning we slept in (as much as we could) before cuddling around on the baby for a while...

And, of course, snapping pictures.

We went to Mom and Dad's for lunch, stayed a bit, then made our way back home.

One of our 3am feedings.

On Monday night, Aunt Jo captured this gorgeous shot.
Love.

On Tuesday, we were off to the doctor.
Little Miss had to get some blood drawn to make sure her jaundice was in check.

Her waking moments are pretty awesome.

But so are her milk coma moments.

JJ really does love his sister.
And judging by that smile, I think she loves him, too.

Wednesday we stayed local.
Thursday back to the doctor.
Friday we stayed around the house again.

Saturday was a work day.
Please note JJ's Gator loaded up with the big boy toys :)

We mowed, ran the weed-eater, swept, burned, and got the yard looking great.

Another 3am milk coma.

Sunday we were up early to get ready for Shelby's first Sunday at church.
OK…maybe it was just me up early.

Since the weather has been so wonderful, we've been outside a lot.
Shelby usually hitches a ride.
I don't mind.

We are so happy and in love with this little girl.
Welcome to our family, little Shelby.
Happy to have you as our new Underwood family member #4 :)
