Weekend Wrap Up

Our weekend started like this...

My son is obsessed with Wheat Thins. Obsessed. 

Friday we got a very special package in the mail.

We ordered JJ's Halloween costume and it arrived Friday evening.

Of course we had to try it on.

He was so thrilled.
The closet in his room has sliding mirror doors.
He just stood there staring at himself, giggling uncontrollably, kissing his reflection.

Super pumped.

We ordered wings, too.

But I'm keeping those safe and sound for now out of sight.

Saturday morning I made pancakes from scratch.

It's my favorite pancake recipe and the only one that works for me.

I burn all other recipes.

No joke.

JJ set the table all by himself.

Later that evening we were off to a BBQ.

I took a movie hoping JJ would watch it on the way and not fall asleep.

Fail.

Of course, every gathering ends up like this.

Sunday we went to church, made spaghetti, cleaned, crocheted, then went to bed.

All in all, a very nice weekend.

And beautiful weather.

Although, I'm still not ready to let go of summer.

Just a few more pool days...please?
