Keeping Myself Busy

Holy Moly. . . . I go home to IL for a visit and it's 95 degrees every single day. I get back home to W.V. and we haven't had a decent hot day the entire time - I just want to get a few more good days of sun in the pool before fall hits - PLEASE!

Anyway. . . since I haven't been out in the pool every day, I've had to find other ways to fill my time. I've been crocheting. I made another amigurumi, a little elephant.

And since making a pair for my sister, I've been totally addicting to making these wrist-warmers. They are so cozy and just look so darn fun.

And remember how I told you JJ has been wanting to sleep in his twin bed? He still is. He's okay with taking naps in his crib, but he wants to fall asleep at night in his big boy bed. After he's been out for a couple hours, I put him into his crib for safe keeping.

Yes, those are bumpers from his crib.

JJ has this thing where he likes to work his fingers as he drifts to sleep. He'll use the tiger tail, the bumpers, fringe on blankets. . . he just needs to have something to keep his hands busy while he drifts off to sleep. A little OCD, I know. I wouldn't have him any other way.

Laney also has to keep her hands busy while winding down at night. She has 'Bebe'. A crocheted baby blanket that my aunt made her before she was born. After 4 1/2 years, it isn't soft and cuddly anymore, but she can't go to sleep without it. Shocking, that both of OUR children would have OCD tendencies. ;)
